Liberty’s pocket square is printed in a historic factory in Macclesfield, Cheshire – the ancestral home of British silk production, and the site of a collaboration with Liberty that has lasted for several decades. Crafted from pure silk twill with hand-rolled edges and a signature logo in one corner, it spotlights our Future Liberty print from our artistic FuturLiberty collection. Inspired by Futurist paintings that depict abstracted visuals of mechanical forms. The Liberty Design Studio layered paint on to paper to create bold shapes that have a three-dimensional quality. The final design has the sense of a freshly painted artist’s canvas just removed from the easel – the paint still slightly wet.
