The Modern Collector offers a celebration of Liberty’s historic love for craftsmanship and design, paying homage to our founder (and the original collector) Arthur Lasenby Liberty. This Liberty Interiors collection draws upon three pivotal print stories of Floribunda, Art Nouveau and The Tree of Life, translated onto exquisite furnishing textures with a special focus on surface, line and bold colouration. Archival Liberty prints have been reinterpreted and reworked, appearing alongside contemporary new artworks created in our London design studio – for the next generation of iconic Liberty interiors.

Poppy Meadow is a one colour version of Poppy Meadowfield, a fresh reworking of one of Liberty’s best-loved archival prints from 1910. Poppy Meadow was developed as a contemporary all-over floral fabric design, created in the studio and featuring soft coloured grounds.

The design is expertly printed in Italy on Landsdowne Linen, a beautiful lightweight dual-purpose base – the weight provides a superior drape, which is also suitable for domestic upholstery. The fine weave of this pure 100% linen base allows a perfect interpretation of even the most intricate Liberty prints. Use it as a breath of fresh air for curtains, cushions and light upholstery.
