Following the launch of our first ever perfume collection, the Liberty Design Studio presents the LBTY capsule – taking a look at the story within the scent, this collection spotlights each print that inspired – and now adorns – its olfactory counterpart. In the creation of LBTY, eight prints were selected from our extensive archive of over 55,000, before world renowned perfumers translated each into an individual fragrance. This capsule spotlights the prints behind the perfume, exploring in depth the artistic, archival origins of each enchanting aroma – all printed onto our meticulously engineered Tana Lawn™ Cotton for a lightweight, silky finish.

Merchant – reworked from the archive with an artistic sensibility – is a delicate ikat-inspired geometric, where shapes seamlessly merge into a captivating tapestry effect. Part of the LBTY collection, the richly textured surfaces, rendered in earthy tonal palettes, evoke a sense of craftsmanship, blending bohemian artisanal aesthetics with traditional, timeless motifs. Evoking the secrets, history and craft woven into the lore of Liberty, perfumer Pierre Negrin responded with a ornamental woody scent, gloriously released with vivid bursts of grated ginger, nutmeg and crushed juniper berries.

Our Tana Lawn™ cotton is a fabric built by obsession, perfected into a modern masterpiece of production through a bespoke process that has evolved over a century. Printed in our very own Liberty Printing Mill, located between Milan and Lake Como in northern Italy, Tana realises unmatchable fluidity with a silk-like touch, unique print quality and striking colour vibrancy. Machine washable and durable enough for daily wear, it can be used to create everything from simple separates to spectacular statement pieces.
