Following the launch of our first ever perfume collection, the Liberty Design Studio presents the LBTY capsule – taking a look at the story within the scent, this collection spotlights each print that inspired – and now adorns – its olfactory counterpart. In the creation of LBTY, eight prints were selected from our extensive archive of over 55,000, before world renowned perfumers translated each into an individual fragrance. This capsule spotlights the prints behind the perfume, exploring in depth the artistic, archival origins of each enchanting aroma – all printed onto our meticulously engineered Kensington Crepe de Chine for a lightweight, silky finish.

Adelphi Voyage draws inspiration from the fusion of two mid-19th century hand-painted shawl designs. Reimagined in the studio with meticulous attention to detail, it captures a rich depth of colour, bursting with an abundance of verdant botanicals. Perfumer Hamid Merati-Kashani’s fragrance interpretation in Adelphi Sun sows a medley of fresh grass, dewy greens and twists of juicy citrus peel all drizzled with honeyed floral nectar basking in the warmth of the late afternoon sunbeams.

Crepe de chine is one of the best silk bases for daytime wear – it’s effortlessly luxe, with a lightweight drape that’s made more durable by its matte, slightly rough surface. Try using crepe de chine to create a louche effect with wide-leg trousers and loosely tailored shirts, or with fluted sleeves and ruffled accents for a romantic feel.
