It is inspired by an imposing wooden chalet in in heart of a quaint hillside village, where the painter Balthus made his home. The artist was enchanted by the scents of milk and honey that enveloped his home, piqued by hints of citrus from the gnarled lime trees that surrounded his studio – today, it fills the air like a beautiful memory once more.
